Communications Maintainer

 

Conrail has immediate openings for the position of Communications Maintainer

405 division St in Elizabeth New Jersey.

 

 

Must be qualified to install, adjust, and maintain company owned communications equipment including, CCTV, data processing, microwave, spread spectrum microwave, PC computer applications. Must have a General class FCC radio license or its equivalent. Must have a working knowledge of VoIP applications. Must have a working knowledge of private data networks, including wiring standards and associated test equipment.  Must have a working knowledge of communication cable installation and test procedures

 

 

 

 

To qualify for consideration applicants must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays. Individuals must pass qualifying test and have good communication skills.

Conrail has immediate openings for the position of Electrician in the  South Jersey

 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

 

Daily inspection and repair of diesel locomotives.Perform electrical inspection, maintenance, repair and testing activities and electrical components in a shop environment or outdoors. Be familiar with high voltage Working on bridges, ladders and other elevated places. Must also be capable of working in pit, and confined spaces

 

To qualify for consideration applicants must be able to work outdoors, any shift, weekends and holidays.  Individuals must pass qualifying test and have a valid driver’s license CDL not required but helpful.

Inspect, repair and maintain diesel locomotives in a shop environment and outdoors.  Diagnose diesel engine malfunctions and make electrical system & mechanical repairs.
